An ultra-wideband bench-top ASE light source covering the S-, C- and L-bands in one instrument, for characterising WDM and CWDM optical devices and transmission components.

The ASE-FL7701 combines Tm-doped fluoride, Er-doped fluoride and Er-doped silica fiber to cover 1460 to 1610 nm with total output power >= +11 dBm. Spectral power density is quoted as >= -25 dBm/nm at 1460 nm, >= -17 dBm/nm from 1480 to 1600 nm and >= -25 dBm/nm at 1610 nm; the marketing text separately claims -20 dBm/nm across 1460 to 1605 nm. Output is G.652 SMF with an FC/PC connector and built-in isolator in an 88 x 260 x 350 mm chassis.
