A fiber optic accelerometer for vibration measurement that can be distributed on a multi-sensor fiber network alongside other FiberStrike sensors. Offered as a drop-in alternative to conventional electrical accelerometers.

The sensor is an FBG device, so it inherits EMI immunity and lightning and corrosion resistance and needs no power at the measurement point. CEL states it measures vibration with frequency ranges up to 350 Hz. It is packaged for challenging environments and is intended for monitoring wind- and traffic-induced acceleration, instantaneous loads, vibrational modes and the effects of seismic or nearby construction activity. CEL publishes no accelerometer sensitivity, g-range, axis count or noise floor figures on its site or in any downloadable datasheet.

FBG-based linear and rotary displacement sensors with configurable mounting and end fittings, available in aluminium or stainless steel bodies for harsh and submersible service.

CEL's core range of Fiber Bragg Grating point sensors for temperature, strain and pressure, supplied in many configurations for bonding to existing structures or embedding in new construction.

A patented FBG insert that turns an ordinary structural fastener into a smart fastener, continuously measuring bolt elongation and tension. The insert is fitted into a bored and threaded fastener.
Our application engineers will confirm specifications with the manufacturer and quote for your configuration.
