Chromatic dispersion measurement system for optical fiber and cable manufacturing. Uses a temperature-stabilised solid-state monochromator with DSP-based detection.

The CD500 sets and holds its measurement wavelength using a solid-state monochromator driven by a digitally derived RF frequency signal, which PFO states gives picometer-level wavelength precision and stability. Broad-band SLED sources cover 1250-1650 nm, and DSP-based acquisition is used to keep results low-noise and drift-free. The platform is modular: the same hardware can be configured for PMD, strain, macrobending loss and cut-back spectral attenuation. PFO lists it as applicable to standard, NDS, NZDS, DC, bend-insensitive and multi-mode variant fibers.

Fiber curl measurement system that measures the natural, relaxed-state curl of an optical fiber using a self-referencing dual-beam laser method.
A 2U rack-mount controller that interrogates networks of FiberStrike fiber optic tamper switches and converts each switch state into a dry relay contact output. Intended for access-point security monitoring at manholes, hatchways and vaults.

A battery-powered, ruggedised eight-channel Fiber Bragg Grating interrogator for field monitoring of temperature, pressure and strain sensors. Supplied in a waterproof carrying case for outdoor and remote deployment.
Our application engineers will confirm specifications with the manufacturer and quote for your configuration.
